By Rochester Falcon Watcher MAK

When I left home for my watch at 5am it was raining with thunder and lightning and still dark with the temperature in the 70’s

I went directly to State St. across from the Rochester Plaza Hotel to check on Cadence. She was still on the northeast corner of her 4 story building. The storm was letting up to a light shower and the big girl was kinda wet. I left her to look for the rest of the family and I managed to find them before returning to keep an eye on Cadence. I found Genesee eating on Crossroads, Dot.ca (DC) on the jail tower and Beauty under the northeast wing of Times Square. I wish I could have been looking for little ace Bronx. On the way back to share space with our little adventurer Cadence, I spotted Genesee on the Powers building. Larry stopped by on his way to work.

I would spend the next 4 hours with Cadence as she dried out, napped, preened, watched sparrows in a tree below her and take a few walks for herself around the building. I’ve never seen a juvie that liked to walk so much. Carla joined me  just before Cadence flew off to the east heading toward the river behind me at 10am. I was grateful that she didn’t fly down low as State St. is one of the busiest streets downtown. I really didn’t like her going toward the river either but she made out ok.

During this time people watching the cams were seeing Beauty, DC and Genesee visit the Powers and Crossroads (CRX) buildings. Thank you window watcher Pat and cam watchers Donna, Ei, Carol and Shaky for helping while I watched Cadence. I saw the 3 of them doing some awesome flying together today. DC flew over us a few times chirping-landed on the top arm of the Frontier Communications Tower (FCT) then landed on a northeast corner of Powers building.

img_0076-cadenceimg_0078-pretty-girlimg_0079-cadence

DC was flying all over the place high, low, fast, slow and he was joined by Beauty and Genesee. Cadence was awol as she wouldn’t be positively ID’d until just after I ended my watch. Joyce joined the watch around 11am and as she spotted a juvie on the north side of OCSR I decided to go up on the South Ave. garage for a good view of things. I believe it was Cadence on the 2nd ibeam but couldn’t say for sure-Beauty was on top ibeam above

img_0104-juvie-from-south-ave-garage1img_0118-beauty-sleeping

They both flew off while I was watching DC fly in chirping and landing on the top ibeam near the south corner of OCSR. I came down from the garage roof to find Beauty had joined her mate. I could see no juvies so I went up to the roof of the Sister Cities garage where I found Genesee on the west side second railing of the Powers building. He did some seriously fast preening and then he flew off.

Susan and Brian joined the watch around 3pm so I left them to help Joyce as I ended my 10 hour watch. I saw some great flying this afternoon and Cadence moved forward giving me reasons to go home smiling! 🙂

Fledge Watch 6-22-15

By Rochester Falcon Watcher MAK

It was a nice morning for a fledge watch with a starting temperature of 60 (F) and mostly sunny skies

I started my watch with Dan on the Broad St. bridge and Beauty was under the northeast wing of Times Square (TSB). There were no juvies around so I left to look for them. I found one on Crossroads and one on the Powers building. I was on the Andrews St. bridge (ASB) when the third falcon popped its head out from behind the railing and then they were both gone. I

img_0102-beauty img_0103-juvie-on-crossroads img_0105-powers

I went down to TSB and came across Beauty beak feeding Genesee. Some sweet moments there and then Beauty cached the leftovers at which point Genesee ran down and chased mom off the building. They both flew over to Widows Walk on the north side. They left from there with the Beautyful one going east and Genesee north.

img_0106-beauty-feeds-geneseeimg_0107-awwwwimg_0109-nom-nomimg_0110-beauty-cleans-up-after-caching-foodimg_0111-beauty-is-happy-hereimg_0112-genesee-gives-beauty-the-bootimg_0113-i-didnt-just-do-thatimg_0116-what-big-yellow-feet-i-haveimg_0118-talk-to-the-handimg_0128-beauty-and-geneseeimg_0133-and-shes-offimg_0142-genesee

I left and didn’t find any juvies but Beauty and DC were on Widows Walk. She had food and he was watching her. She finished eating and they flew off just as Carla joined me on watch. After a long time we finally saw a juvie on the Powers building thanks to Carol who tweeted it out from work as she was watching the livestream. This would turn out to be Genesee  because it turned out that Bronx had hurt himself and was put in the nest box well after being found by Rich Calabrese, the owner of Times Square. And just after I arrived to watch Genesee, I got a call from Dana saying that Cadence had been found on a retaining wall on Corinthian St. Carla and I found her on a planter box above the underground parking garage at the base of the OCSR building.

img_0150-beauty-and-dc<Click itimg_0157-beautyimg_0159-his-whitenessimg_0173-geneseeimg_0174-cadence-in-her-gardenimg_0177-posingimg_0178-sleepy-headimg_0179-scrunched-downimg_0180-location-shotimg_0182-weed-be-goneimg_0183-pretty-girlimg_0192-how-do-i-get-up-there<Click it

Joyce arrived and was watching from the end of Corinthian St. while Carla and I had been watching from the river side up one story from where Joyce was. Apparently, Cadence was first spotted on the lamp post above where she was and then she fluttered down to the box around 7am. Cadence seemed quite alert and her wings and legs were working fine. She just needed to get her bearings since nothing looked familiar to her. Carla left and Carrie joined Joyce. Cadence ended up hopping onto the railing next to the planter box and slipped off, forcing her to take wing and fly.

img_0193-sorta-laying-downimg_0195-mak-youre-still-hereimg_0196-should-i-go-down-thereimg_0199-laying-downimg_0200-cadenceimg_0201-i-think-ill-try-that-railingimg_0202-its-scaryimg_0203-i-can-do-itimg_0204-pretty-girlimg_0205-helloimg_0206-cadenceimg_0210-on-her-way-to-railing

Cadence flew up State St. not too far and landed on a west side 4 story building across from the Rochester Plaza Hotel. Meanwhile poor Bronx had been rescued by the Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC). He had possible leg/foot injuries. Hope he can get back to us and his family.

img_0212-4-stories-up-is-better-than-4-feet img_0213-cadence-on-building

I ended my watch around 3:30pm as Joyce,Carrie and Brian were on watch and I felt that Cadence was ok. Although we all feel bad about Bronx we can still smile over the fact that Cadence got up and flying again! 🙂

By Rochester Falcon Watcher MAK

It was the first day of summer and it sure felt like it with high humidity and warm temperatures. After a totally overcast start in the morning there was sun and clouds later

When I stopped on the Broad St. bridge to get the scoop from Dan the only falcon in sight was Beauty on cam 1. I went down to the hole and hit the jackpot! All 3 juvies were on Widows Walk (WW). Dot.ca (DC) flew in with a small package and left it for the kids to devour. Bronx flew up to the air conditioning unit on the Telesca roof for a short time. From what I’ve seen Bronx seems to be the best flyer-not bad for the runt of the family!

img_0007-silly-juvies img_0009-dc-flies-in-with-food img_0010-ah-breakfast img_0011-dc-is-brave

img_0016-bronx-visits-telesca img_0017-bronx-on-telesca

Cadence likes to walk around-she did it on Times Square the other day walking the whole perimeter of the back lower section and today she walked around WW on the railing using her wings to right herself when she slipped. Genesee was interested in the food much like his dad in that department, and stayed down on the floor of WW eating. Beautyshowed up on the Mercury money bag and DC on the southwest wing ring of Times Square.

img_0025-cadence-in-for-the-landing img_0033-beauty img_0035-dc-on-wing-ring

The kids disappeared from WW only to return and entertain me as Cadence and Genesee landed on the east side railing next to each other. Of course Cadence was always busy-she reminds me of Pigott who was always doing something rather than sit idol. Beauty flew in to check out the bunch and had a bite to eat while she was there. The Beautyful one flew north after she was done eating. Larry tweeted out that DC also flew north-perhaps tandem hunting or keeping the air space clear for their kids.

img_0037-cadence-gonna-break-her-neck img_0038-girl-boy-size-difference img_0039-look-into-my-eyes img_0043-beauty-checks-in-with-kids<Click it

img_0047-cadence-on-her-way-down img_0048-cadence-shows-her-bling img_0053-who-dat

The kids eventually flew off with two of them ending up on the Powers building (PB) and the other on the east side of Crossroads. I went to the Andrews St. bridge (ASB) to find them and could see DC over on TSB on the southwest wing ring. Meanwhile, back at the PB one of the juvies went to the nest box and the other slipped back behind the railing.

img_0061-2-juvies-on-powera img_0064-juvie-on-crossroads img_0067-checking-out-that-nest-box img_0071-dc-from-andrews-st-bridge

Beauty showed up on the northeast corner of Crossroads to keep an eye on the Powers building kids. I went back to the hole after Larry left to see where the Crossroads juvie had gone. He was on WW eating with dad on the north side. DC left with a full crop after another juvie came back to WW. The 2 juvies took over the leftovers and the third juvie showed up on WW. One of them flew up to the northwest wing ledge as Kathy arrived to watch with me. We had 3 on WW one minute and the next they were gone!

img_0091-cutie img_0098-3-juvies<Click itimg_0119-cadence-slips-off img_0123-bronx

Carol joined the watch and we eventually lost all the juvies-I went up on the South Ave. garage to have a look around but had no luck. Eventually they showed up on the PB, Beauty perched on Crossroads and DC  on the top ibeam of OCSR near the south corner. I met up with Kathy and Carol in the Hochstein School of Music parking lot at Fitzhugh and Church St. to watch the kids play at the Powers building.

So Far, A Very Successful Fledge Watch! – 6/20/15

By Rochester Falcon Watcher Carol P.

Watchers: Dan S, Mary, MAK, Kathy O, Lisa McK, Dana, Joyce, Larry O, Patty, Pat, Brian, Lou, Colleen, Shaky, Carrie and Carol P. (Hope I remembered everyone.)

I wanted to take a few moments to look at my pictures from the last few days.  Needless to say, I’ve been spending long hours downtown keeping an eye on our young falcons, along with my fellow watchers.  So, I haven’t had much time to post a report.

The highlight of today was Cadence’s escape from the top balcony on the Cross Rds Bldg.  It was Peregrine Problem Solving at its finest!  I was there till 9:0o pm last night watching her try to figure out how to get out of her “prison” and was thrilled to here of her “great escape” this morning.  WOOHOO!  🙂

The rest of the day was spent watching her and her brothers learning from each other and their parents. The next month or so will be a very exciting time for the young Peregrine’s and their watchers.  If you have a chance, you should come downtown to check on the Rochester Falcons.

This evening, when we ended our watch at 9:00 pm, Cadence, Genesee and Bronx were all safely home on the Times Square Bldg with their parents nearby.  All had been fed.

Here are some of my favorite images from the last few days.  Enjoy!

It was kinda chilly this morning with a temperature of 52(F) 11(C) with clouds and sun

I checked the Crossroads building as soon as I got downtown this morning 5:30am to find that Cadence was still in her balcony/jail cell. Then I went up to the Broad St. bridge (BSB) to check in with Dan-he had seen the boys fly this morning but didn’t know where they were. Beauty flew in and landed under the northeast wing of Times Square (TSB) and I set out to find the boys. I found a boy and his name is Dot.ca (DC) on the south side of the Powers building from the Andrews St. bridge.

img_0001-cadence img_0005-dc img_0008-beauty

DC flew off downriver over the High Falls then back downtown to come to rest on the west corner top ibeam of OCSR. I could also see one of the boys on the east side of Crossroads. Lisa joined the watch as did Larry , who was on the bridge with Dan and Mary. Lisa said there were 2 boys on the east side so I joined her in the hole.

img_0011-boys-on-crossroads img_0015-who-be-you

Lisa and I went up to the South Ave. garage after we lost sight of them on the roof. We didn’t stay up there for long as it was windy and cold. We could see Cadence and we saw DC stoop to the west out of view but we couldn’t see the boys who were on the air conditioning unit of Crossroads as reported by Larry. This made us decide to go back down to the ground level.

img_0017-from-south-ave-garage img_0018-larry-and-harold img_0019-dan-and-mary

Lisa and I went to the hole and shortly after the boys went out of view so I took a ride down to the Andrews St. bridge to see what I could see.

img_0021-the-boys img_0022-jail

I stopped on State St. when I saw DC on the west corner top ibeam of OCSR and soon after a juvie flew past dad and hit a window while trying to land on the top ibeam north side. He didn’t hit hard just kind of touched with his feet and pushed off flying to south side of Crossroads. DC flew there as well and joined a boy on the east side as tweeted by Larry. I returned to the hole with Lisa then Dana arrived. Beauty was under the northwest wing and a juvie landed on the Wilder elevator shaft roof.

img_0023-dc5 img_0026-pretty-girl img_0027-one-of-the-boys img_0028-boy-juvie

img_0029-location img_0034-male

We watched the Crossroads boy fly across to the TSB and while we watched him Cadence escaped jail and flew past on her way to TSB as well. They went under the northeast and northwest wings. Food was dropped off for the Wilder boy and Cadence. When she was done she started wailing then flew north out of view. Dana,Lisa and I ended up watching from the Main St. bridge as all 3 juvies reunited on the Wilder elevator shaft roof where they played and ran around-just having a blast with each other.

img_0037-cadence img_0043-blue-sky img_0044-juvies img_0045-moelarry-and-curly img_0046-location-from-main-st-bridge

I ended my watch at 10 am due to illness at Seneca Towers where I saw a falcon north of the building. I have to say it put a huge smile on my face when both Cadence made it out of jail and when the 3 Rochester Peregrine Juvenile Falcon siblings reunited! 🙂

Boy what a difference from yesterday weather wise. It was cold and breezy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. I don’t think the temperature ever got out of the 60’s

Arriving around 5:30am I stopped on the Broad St. bridge (BSB) to get the scoop from Dan and his friend Mary. All 5 family members were present on the Times Square building (TSB). Beauty was under the southeast wing, Dot.ca (DC) on the northwest wing ring, Bronx was under the northeast wing, Genesee on the southwest column above Cadence who was on the south side lower roof. Great way to start the day!

img_0005-cadence-lower-one-of-the-boys-upper img_0011-beauty-watching-2-of-her-kids img_0014-the-kids

DC disappeared  shortly after I got there.Bronx was eating at first look-Beauty flew over and finished up what was left. img_0016-bbx<Click it img_0024-bronx img_0026-cadence img_0027-hi-there-girlfriend

Genesee flew over to the Wilder chimney just as Kathy arrived and Dan left. Joyce joined the watch 20 minutes later. I stayed on Broad St. watching Cadence while Kathy and Joyce were in the hole keeping track of Genesee and Bronx. New watcher Patty at some point joined them in the hole and Larry also stopped for a bit before going to work. Bronx flew to Crossroads and I followed Cadence as she made her way around the entire back lower roof of TSB by foot. Genesee flew over to hang out with sis for a while landing above her. The Beautyful one was under the southwest wing supervising all the activity.

img_0028-genesee1 img_0030-where-are-you-cadence img_0032-cadence img_0033-cadence img_0034-cadence-walking-around-times-square img_0039-bronx img_0041-genesee img_0044-cg<Click img_0046-bcg img_0048-cadence img_0053-bronx img_0056-bronx

Genesee decided he wanted to meet up with his brother on Crossroads. DC flew over to TSB and started diving on something near the south side just like yesterday while Beauty watched from under the southwest wing. He left for a while then was back at it again only this time Cadence flew off TS-I thought that she may have been spooked off from whatever DC was diving on.

img_0058-genesee img_0059-gbx<Click

Cadence went north so I headed that way as well-I ended up on the Andrews St. bridge (ASB) and spotted her on the Powers building at the base of the flag pole. She ended up flying from there to Crossroads-Patty witnessed her missing a landing and falling down into the top balcony on the south side of Crossroads. She would remain there the rest of the day as she couldn’t figure out how to get out.

img_0062-cadence img_0063-cadence img_0066-cadence img_0064-cadence-in-jail

The rest of the afternoon was quiet as Bronx under the northeast wing Genesee on the Reynolds Arcade building and Cadence in her jail cell all napped. DC checked on his little girl a couple times and Beauty also took a nap on OCSR.

img_0075-bronx img_0082-peekaboo-genesee img_0085-dc-checking-on-his-little-girl img_0086-cadence img_0089-dc-checks-on-cadence-again img_0092-genesee img_0094-genesee-from-one-column-to-the-other

Just before I ended my watch at 4pm Bronx flew to the south side of Crossroads.

I left downtown smiling after another long fun filled fledge watch with our downtown Rochester Peregrine Falcon family! 🙂

It was a beautiful  sunny day with a delicious breeze and a temperature around 80. My first sighting was Cadence at 5:30am on the northeast corner of the Powers building as I approached on State St. Next stop was Main and State St. to check for Genesee on the Wilder building-he was gone so I proceeded to the Broad St. Bridge (BSB) where I found Dans’ friend Mary by Falcon Watcher Central (top of the stairs to the hole). Dan had gone looking for Bronx but it turned out it was Genesee he had seen flying. I caught up with him by Times Square (TSB) where he told me Genesee was on the south side of the Monroe County Office building just north of Widows Walk. I quick checked on Genesee then went back to BSB to find Bronx. He was on the Wilder building-I believe he was there all along.

img_0002-cadence-on-powers1 img_0004-genesee img_0007-bronx

I went back to Broad St. to watch Genesee while Dan and Mary kept an eye on Bronx. Dana was downtown and she went to keep track of Cadence. Carol arrived around 6:30am. I would share space with our little dare devil Genesee until 7am when he went over to the east side where I couldn’t see him and took off. He ended up on Thomson Reuters.

img_0009-location-shot-from-broad-st img_0014-genesee1 img_0016-genesee img_0020-genesee img_0021-genesee img_0028-genesee img_0030-genesee

img_0039-genesee-on-thomson-reuters img_0040-genesee-on-tr

Meanwhile Cadence had left the Powers building and ended up on TSB on the northeast corner in the back of the building. I’d spent most of yesterday with the boys so I decided to go watch Cadence but not before Genesee flew to the Wilder building and reunited with his brother. What a sweet scene that was to see! I got settled on Irving Place with Dana to check out Cadence who spent most of the day on the same ledge.

img_0042-the-boys-reunited img_0046-cadence-below-mom img_0050-dc-on-wing-ring

img_0052-cadence img_0058-cadence img_0061-cadence

Cadence went back on the ledge where we couldn’t see her so I went down Broad St. and got far enough away by Washington St. where I could see her. I stayed there until noon or so. I returned to Irving Place and stayed there until 4pm when I ended my watch.

img_0066-from-broad-and-washington-st img_0069-talking-to-mom

Genesee flew in and landed on Widows Walk-Dot.ca (DC) joined him for a couple minutes. Bronx flew over to land on a small ledge below Cadence and soon after Genesee joined the family by landing on a small ledge below the northwest wing where Beauty was perched. DC was on the southeast wing ring making it a family reunion and everybody was home again!

Today was a much calmer watch which was nice. Once they make their first few flights you can relax a little knowing that they didn’t crash and burn. With each passing day their flying and landing skills will improve and they will need less and less supervision but that won’t be for a while yet. My last pick is of Beauty looking down on all 3 of our Rochester Peregrine Falcon Fledglings-all safe and sound and making all of us smile! 🙂

It was cooler and less humid today with a bit of a breeze-I think the high was in the 70’s

It was a slow morning-Genesee spent most of it on the east side of the Wilder building. Cadence and Bronx did a lot of flapping which helped them later in the day as they both fledged within a half hour of each other.Bronx went around 2:45pm and Cadence around 3:15pm. Beauty and Dot.Ca (DC) did a lot of fly by’s  to entice their 3 offspring to join them in the air. I spent some time up on the roof of the South Ave. garage in order to keep track of everyone , especially Genesee.

Fast forward to the afternoon as Bronx flew from the wall up the north side of Times Square then back straight for the Wilder building. As he approached Genesee came running out from behind the standpipe to the southeast corner and then Bronx tried to land on the Wilder chimney. He came up short and would hang on the bricks with his talons. Eventually, he was able to fight his way up to the top. Meanwhile, Genesee had flown off Wilder  and ended up on Crossroads. Half hour later Cadence fledged and ended up on the Powers building.

As if 2 fledges wasn’t enough Bronx left the chimney and went to the North side near the flag pole and Genesee tried to fly from one side to another on Crossroads over the balconies and missed the landing. He started to spiral down managing to miss crashing on a balcony, caught himself and flew to OCSR where he crashed into a window. He caught himself once more on the way down then disappeared down Main St. where watchers witnessed him hitting the glass on Crossroads and ending up on a west side window ledge 6 floors up on Wilder.

Cadence was smart and stayed put on the Powers building-the sun was right behind her so I didn’t get pics of her as they would just be silhouetted. I left Main and State St. where Genesee and Cadence could be seen for the hole where Bronx was in view as he came down to the south side roof following in his brothers’ footsteps from the previous night when Genesee fledged and spent the night near the standpipe.

I ended my watch 14 hours after I started at 7:30am with so much drama that it didn’t seem that long. Watchers throughout the day were-Dan,Mary,Carol,LarryPatty,Kathy,Pat,Joyce,Brian,Susan,Shaky,Carrie,Dana, Lou and myself. There was plenty to smile about as we  had 3 successful fledges with no apparent injuries in the last 24 hours! 🙂

Morning/Evening Fledge Watch 6-16-15

Wednesday, June 17th, 2015

By Rochester Falcon Watcher MAK

It was a gray, rainy morning with high humidity which turned into a sunny afternoon and perfect weather for a fledge. The only thing that needs to be reported is that Master Genesee fledged at 12:30pm this afternoon. Unfortunately, I had a doctor appointment and left just 10 minutes before he took his first flight. No detailed report tonight as it is after midnite and I will be back out at 5:30am in the morning. I have photos from my morning and evening watch and a couple videos. I’m having trouble uploading a couple but if I can get them done tomorrow I will post then.

Watchers on duty for the morning watch-Dan,Mary,Larry,Carol,Patty,Joyce and myself

Morning Fledge Watch 6-15-15

Monday, June 15th, 2015

By Rochester Falcon Watcher MAK

The air was thick with moisture this morning and the tops of the buildings encased with fog. Dark overcast skies and a temperature of 69(F)  21(C)

img_0014-xerox-and-legacy-tower-engulfed-with-fog

Dan was on the Broad St. bridge (BSB) as I arrived at 5:30am-the fog made for poor visibility of the nest box area from that distance so I went down to the hole. Beauty was on the Wilder green strip and Dot.ca (DC) flew in and landed a few feet from her. He didn’t stay long as he flew over to the deck with food where I imagine he got mobbed.

One of the kids went out on the wall after DC left as the other two ate the food that daddy delivered. After a bit I changed spots to where I could see Bronx sleeping near cam 4. Beauty preened a little and ended up with a facinator (feather stuck to her beak) then she too took a nap-that’s the kind of morning it was for our falcon family.

Around 6:30am 2 of the kids went out on the wall and before I knew it there was one on the nest box roof then over to cam 4 (Genesee).  Thanks to cam watchers Donna, Annette and Campgee who reported Cadence below Genesee on cam 4 and Bronx was the one on the wall bump. The Beautyful one had turned around to face me in the meantime.

Larry joined Dan on the bridge and reported an adult on OCSR. Beauty left and ended up on Widows Walk south side railing. Around 7am DC showed up with food and dropped it off on the deck-Beauty flew over and met him there. DC lost a tug of war with the kids and left for OCSR top ibeam west corner.

Beauty remained on deck to supervise the children as reported by Ei- 2 of them ate breakfast again and the other one watched from the wall bump. She was forced to abandon ship and fly off as one of the kids crowded her on the corner. Beauty went to cam 1 and DC was on OCSR top ibeam west corner.

Around 7:30am Donna reported that Beauty took over the feeding.

img_0060-got-some-food-mom<Click it img_0062-beauty

Just before 8am Beauty flew to the base of Mercury then over to the main cam. I could see an eyas on the wall and one on cam 4.

Carol arrived around 8:30am -she was up on the BSB, I took a break and when I returned Beauty was on the ledge above the nest box and DC on OCSR top ibeam south corner. All the kids were mellow for a while.

img_0076-beauty img_0079-beautyful

Patty joined me in the hole at 10am and Dana soon after that pulled up. Beauty flew east making the kids come to life and start jabbering and flapping their wings.

img_0084-bronx-leading-the-wayimg_0088-nice-profile-kidimg_0089-whatcha-doin<Click it

Carol reported seeing Beauty catch a pigeon over the river from the BSB. Genesee flew from cam 4 to the main cam and perched there looking quite pleased with himself. Cadence and Bronx were on the wall being cute.

Joyce joined the watch at 10;30am as Beauty alarm called and flew after a Turkey Vulture. Beauty went to the heel on Mercury and DC remained on OCSR until he spotted something on the back of Times Square. He streaked across with Beauty right after him and they started swooping down behind the building. Apparently they’re working on the elevator at Times Square.

img_0099-dc img_0100-beauty

We were surprised the kids didn’t run to the nest box but I guess they’re not scared little eyasses anymore.  Beauty went to the column above the nest box and DC went under the northeast wing after the crisis was over, The kids acted like nothing happened.

I ended my watch leaving Joyce,Carol,Dana, Patty,Dan and Pat on duty at noon. Our young falcons will fledge soon and we will all be smiling to see them in their rightful place-the sky! 🙂
