Guess they never got the cam up and running! They did a test on Ustream 43 days ago.

Here's a clip from today! 1 week to go for hatch!!

DID YOU KNOW????
Inside the egg, the Peregrine chick has its head tucked under its wing. A large muscle called the hatching muscle runs from the middle of the neck to the top of the head. About 30 days after incubation has started, this muscle contracts. The chick's head snaps up and the egg tooth, a hard pointed knob on top of the beak, cracks the inside of the eggshell. This creates a "pip" - a small hole with tiny cracks spreading out across the shell. One to two days after pipping, the chick begins moving around in the shell. The egg tooth scrapes against the eggshell, cutting a ring through it. About 33 days after the egg is laid, the chick breaks out.
Info sources include Wikipedia, allaboutbirds.org and defenders.org as well as knowledge from Naturalist Matt Perry.

Wonderful!  Thanks, Kris!  I checked the site last night and Facebook today and there was nothing yet.  Glad to hear they have at least one baby.  clap

Utica put a nice thing about us on their FB page, inviting others to watch their friends on Rfalconcam and our 4 babies and posted a link to our site!  thumbsup

Posted on FB that for the safety of the chicks, they won't be banded.  No reason given what the safety concern is.  Sad
