Title: Info about brooding, hatching process of Peregrine chicks by Froona
Post by: Kris G. on 19-May-13, 11:10:44 AM
I know each year, as the hatching window approaches, I like to reread Froona's website about the brooding, hatching process, etc. Thought I'd share again for those who might be interested:

http://www.falcoperegrinus.org/index-en.html (http://www.falcoperegrinus.org/index-en.html)

Interesting point- the eggs are no longer turned by the parents 3 days prior to hatching so as not to disrupt the chick who's now in the correct position to get out of the egg.
Froona loved Mariah and Kaver so she has included several pics of the them in her writings and there's even pics of Rhea Mae, Sabrina (Valiant) and Aura.
