Title: Brandon, peregrine found dead!
Post by: Donna on 16-Jul-13, 07:37:55 PM
Midwest Peregrine Society
We just received word that "Brandon", the nesting male at a cliff at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park was found dead along the highway over the weekend. I am on my way to take a look at the remains to try and determine cause and timeline for death (if possible). We will also be making site visits throughout the fall to see if a replacement bird arrives this year or in the spring of 2014.

Brandon hatched in 2007 from a site about 30 miles to the north, also on Lake Superior. He has nested at Corundum since 2011, produced 2 chicks in 2012 but failed this season.
