Title: Tornado Confirmed in Hilton NY Friday July 19 Post by: patsy6 on 24-Jul-13, 01:30:00 PM The memorable storm of Friday evening, July 19 spawned a waterspout over Lake Ontario which came ashore as a tornado in Hilton, NY at about 7:30 that evening. Hilton is about 20 miles northwest of the Rochester nestbox, and is the home of Quest Elementary School, for whom our Quest is named. Fortunately, the tornado quickly lost its strength over land. I'm sure glad it didn't get to our falcon family.

We watched several fire trucks rush down the road and shortly after we lost power. It was one nasty looking sky over the lake!! :yes: :rain:
