A Campbell River man will pay a $10,000 fine for cutting down an eagle tree. Should have been the full 100,000!! Should have been the full 100,000!! 'Twould have been great to see the full fine imposed - yet 10k has to hurt - and it might just send a message to other would-be messers. Here, fines are more like pocket money, and nobody worries about them.
