Hi all,

the owners wrote
"Tea (the mare) has a bunch of mucus drainage all over her backside. teats are full and wax still showing."
I belive the birth seems to take place soon.

Just popped in there and she's still standing in the corner.  If it's any consolation my mare that I had went almost three weeks over her estimated date with her first one  :silly:

> Just an update for everyone on Tea. Mom will be taking Tea over to WSU this morning for a checkup to make sure everything is coming along ok <  (WSU is probably Washington State University)

Another update on Tea:  Tea is home, cleaned up and had a good look over. Tea has gained 60 lbs since early December, and is 1630 lbs. Foal has good heart beat.

Yay, she's fine...but c'mon...Foal already.

Annette, lbs.  is an abbreviation for pounds.

60 lbs = 27 kilograms

There is an update tis morning with two pictures.

Good morning everyone, the end is in sight!! Lol, we can hope can't we,

But Tea since around 8:00 last night has been pacing more and more. She is also eating in short
periods and was not attacking her feed this morning at all, kept going to the back wall to stand.

She also is starting to build a large amount of wax on both teats, it builds and drops off but
this was building when I was out feeding this morning.

I will be working from home today. Kris and Savanna also arrive this evening, I think they are
hoping Tea waits until they arrive. But as I told them she seems to have her own schedule going on.

But can definately see the end in sight, she just is not able to find a comfortable spot and doing
a lot more pacing than she has been. Her poo is also very soft also a good sign.

Tom has a footing pour this morning but should be home by noon as the truck has to be off of the
county road by 11:00 am. But I do have back up to help me if she goes earlier.

Have a great day everyone, we are so ready to see this foal.

Tea and Kadie are doing great! They have an appointment at WSU, Monday at 8:00 am for a good vet check. Then to Kruger Ranch by weekend.

Tea, Kadie and Maddie will be heading to Kruger Ranch on Saturday!! Tea & Kadie's vet check went well, Tea tore a little, will be treating.

So, I guess the little filly is "KADIE" Cute.
