Title: An adult and juvenile Coop in Irondequoit and a bit of Beauty on Sunday.
Post by: grannywood on 18-Jan-10, 09:30:29 PM
Lou and I enjoyed watching a couple of Coopers Hawks in Irondequoit at the Medley Center on Sunday.  Here's an album of pics.  Also included is Beauty on the communication tower Sunday afternoon.  Hope you enjoy.

Dana, there are so many things RIGHT about that coopers hawk sequence that I wouldn't know where to start. Fabulous interaction between the two, for starters...thanks SO much!

The funny thing is that I was roaming the mall parking lot and was threre at the same time as Dana and Lou (I never saw them).  Before the baby Coop flew over to the parent, s/he was crying her heart out on a light pole in the parking lot, just east of the spot Dana and Lou saw the parent eating.

This juvenile was just gorgeous!

Spectacular photos, Dana!  :thanx: The second and third pix of the full underneath  plumage of the juvenile Coop were beautiful and the water photos were wonderful.  I also enjoyed the Beauty pix.  Her name is sure a perfect fit!

Awesome pictures, Dana!  I think you should submit the one with the perfect reflection of the cooper's hawk in the puddle in a photo contest.  You'd be sure to win!
