Title: Camera updates

In addition to last week's replacement of the Main Camera and replacement of a camera inside the Times Square building nest box (http://rfalconcam.com/imprinting/?p=951), today Camera 2 at the Powers building is scheduled to be moved to the Times Square building. This will allow Rfalconcam to cover some of the blind spots in the area around the nest box.

Two cameras will be left at the Powers building to cover that nest box.

Work should be starting this morning and hopefully wrap up early this afternoon.

I noticed there was some re-naming going on this morning...looks like this is the setup for now...

BUT...I see there are 2 interior cams at Times Square...

...so I suspect we may have a different setup once Beauty & (hopefully) Archer decide which scrape is best.

Work on the cameras continues this morning although none of it is outside.

The order of the cameras is being changed. The north or right IR camera in the Times Square nest box is moving to the Camera 2 slot, and the two cameras at Powers are moving the the Camera 3 and Camera 4 slots.

There is an addition camera, the south or left IR camera in the TS nest box, that is broken. If it can be fixed, it will probably move to the Camera 3 slot. Then we will have 6 cameras and only 5 slots. Maybe it will be time to move away from the Main/Quad model. While we're at it, maybe we could come up with better names than Main and Camera 1-4.

Sorry if I confused the issue...I meant the naming scheme and which cams are on or off only...I know once they decide it will be eyes only from the ground or the cams until later in the season.

Main=Mega cam

2=Orville cam :wub:

Hey I bet he was lonely with no one but a spider for company. Though I think he should of went in a nest box for Mariah if we ever find out where it needs to be.

There have been no confirmed sightings of Mariah since the time we positively ID'd her at the Irondequoit Mall/Medley Ctr. We normally wouldn't see much of her at this time anyway, so I have no doubt she's fine, where ever she is. :happy:

Beauty was out and about around the Times Square bldg. this afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny day.

The "left" camera inside the Times Square nest box has been brought online. It had some problems earlier this year but has been working reliably behind the scenes for several weeks.

It has been moved into the Camera 3 slot. The old Camera 3 at Powers has been moved into the Camera 4 slot, and the old Camera 4 at Powers has been taken offline.
