Title: Eyases to be Banded Today Post by: Yarak on 10-Jun-14, 09:19:27 AM Quote Banding will take place this morning at approximately 10 am. There will not be live camera coverage of the actual banding. However, we plan to keep our nest box cameras running and post updates to our Forum, Facebook, and Twitter throughout the event. Do they try to attack them? How do the parents act while the eyas are gone and then after they are returned?

Do they try to attack them? How do the parents act while the eyas are gone and then after they are returned? They will fly around trying to ward off the intruders. At some nests they will make contact with the banders. They will continue to fly around while the eyases are out of the nest and even once they are returned. Once they feel they have "defeated" the intruders they will return to the nest.
