Title: Eagles at the IRS Bldg New Carrollton, MD
Post by: valhalla on 18-Feb-10, 11:25:54 AM
One of the guys at work, was on the DC Metro yesterday going into the New Carrollton station.  The new IRS Bldg is nearby, so the train was slowing.  Daryl was able to watch a Bald Eagle enjoying his dinner!  Baldie must have been hungry because he didn't move for either the train or a car that passed close by.

Daryl has a Pilated Woodpecker in his backyard.  Woody hangs out on the cars in the neighborhood (I saw the pictures).  Woody isn't afraid and will simply go from car to car.  Any ideas why?

We had a cardinal last year who kept trying to pick a fight with the cardinal reflected in the car window. He kept trying and trying. Then he fly around the car and try again. Maybe Woody see himself. Or he's trying to figure out how to hot wire it.
