Title: Ireland's Peregrines
Post by: Bobbie Ireland on 14-Sep-14, 06:42:49 AM
Michael Viney writes a wonderful natural history column every week in The Irish Times. It is called "Another Life" and is always worth checking. Thought you would all be interested in this piece.

A nice read Bobbie and I can't believe how many pigeon owners there are!! No wonder the falcons have it rough! Thanks

Pigeons are put ahead of falcons in Ireland.

This should no surprise for a country with the 5th highest unemployment rate and 6th highest alcohol consumption rate in the world.

Interesting & disturbing- how anyone could harm a bird as beautiful and majestic as a peregrine falcon is beyond my range of thinking..

Because their "Precious Pigeons" are more important!  :stupid:  I like Pigeons too but LOVE Peregrines more!
