What a nice story! :newyearbd: We lived on Lake Ontario for 34 years and the old-timers always spoke of the sturgeon that were no longer in the lake. The recovery of a species like sturgeon that takes years to reach sexual maturity and live such long lives makes me joyous and hopeful that some of what we've eliminated by careless can be brought back. According to this story, the first release was the year after we moved away, but there had been plenty of publicity about the project before then. :thanx: for posting!
