Title: Great Spirit Bluff Falcons 2016 Post by: AlisonL on 23-Feb-16, 06:25:40 PM One of the peregrines returned to the nest at Great Spirit Bluff on Saturday, February 20, and was seen there again on Sunday.
The bird is banded purple on the right leg, and black/green on the left leg. The bands are very difficult to read, but I believe that this is Michelle (P/87) from what I could see on the pics I had saved on Saturday and Sunday. It is not Travis, whose bands are black/green 06/N. Michelle will be eleven years old this year, and Travis will be thirteen. I hope they both return safely. The Howe family has nicknamed him Newman. That we know of, Travis did not return. Michelle is sitting on four eggs right now. We anticipate hatch to begin around May 3rd.
