Title: Spring Migration
Post by: huddiecat on 08-Mar-10, 08:50:44 AM
I am so excited!!!  Spring and the birds are coming!!

Last Wednesday I spotted a small kettle of Turkey Vultures and yesterday we saw a fairly large kettle!!  I also saw a common grackle at my feeder yesterday...the first of 2010!  Soon I'll be tracking the northern migration of one of my fav's the hummingbird!!

Suzanne, who is looking forward to seeing the grass even if it is brown and yucky!

I love the occasional (but rare, in the city) sighting of flocks of Sandhill Cranes who are flying overhead on their way north now.

Lots of singing going on in Louisville; everybody's staking out territories and advertising.

I love Louisville!  Snap a few pics (if you have time etc) during your outings, please?  It is a very neat place.
