Title: Illkirch-Graffenstaden Peregrines, France Post by: AlisonL on 24-Feb-17, 02:35:38 AM This is a new site with a webcam which came on line on February 22 of this year. Illkirch-Graffenstaden is located in the extreme northeast corner of France, not far from Strasbourg.
In September 2016, a nest box was installed on the bell tower of the Church of Saint Symphorien, where a peregrine had been observed for about two years. The lone peregrine took possession of the nest box, and soon attracted a female. The peregrines have been named Flash and Valentine. If you click on the main link below, you wlll see a solid red rectangle on the left with the words S'abonner inside it. If you click on that rectangle, it will take you to YouTube. The webcam has been back online for a short time, and Flash and Valentine have both been around. Last year they successfully raised four chicks at this nest, and I hope this year will also be a good one for them.
