Title: Any Port in a Storm
Post by: DoggyMom on 14-Mar-17, 12:47:46 PM
I've often wondered why the falcons don't take refuge in the boxes when we're having terrible weather such as today. Seems like a nice, safe place to ride out bad weather.

Just my thoughts, but it's probably about not being trapped if a predator arrives. When they're egg brooding the non-sitting bird is generally watching &/or patrolling the area to keep it clear.

Makes sense but if you watch some of the other cams, there are quite a few falcons that do sleep at their nests,  even at non egg time! To each their own, I guess!!
