This year has flown! Literally!

The eyases are banded and they'll be fledging before we know it!

We thought we'd try having the weekend a little earlier this year to catch more flying by our juvies.  Plus there doesn't seem to be any large festivals or events this weekend.

Hopefully there will be a lot of falcon activity for us to see!

Bummer!  Can't make that weekend!!!!!  We were hoping for July again.  This will be this 1st time we've missed since the 1st one!!!   Lynne & Bob

I'm so sorry Lynne and Bob. The Jehovah Witnesses​ will be in Rochester the following two weekends. It was so much easier to plan when we were on the pedestrian bridge.  :(

I understand why!  We look forward to the trip each year-and yes much better when they were in the gorge!!! 

I feel really bad. I'll miss seeing you guys this year.

No one else has responded, so maybe it's not a good time for anyone?

I have to check a few things at work once our annual inspection is over. I should know better by Friday.

I feel badly that we won't see Lynne and Bob.  The new date actually works better for me than the weekend of 7/8-7/9 would (I would not be available on the afternoon of 7/8), but I'm a local, so my presence isn't as important as that of the out-of-towners.  Bummer is right! 

That's a damn shame Lynne! I always look forward to seeing you and Bob. :(

I think a lot of our "regulars" are following on FB lately. Maybe a question over there would get some responses...I can't post anything there from work

No firm answers over on FB yet. I did book a room at the Radisson...cancellable if plans change. It works so far with my work schedule.

I'm away for the weekend, so we'll see where we are next week.

I'm ready.  Any thoughts???

Sorry no can do.  We are on vacation that week and flying home that Sat.  Too much involved to change.  I am so bummed. As we plan on going to Rochester every year.

Oh no!!  I have my best friend of 50 years visiting and performing st Carnegie Hall on June 24th. I'll be up there just not that weekend.

Keep us posted maybe we can make it then.

So, now that everyone is flying, some with more confidence than others, watcher weekend is NEXT WEEKEND!

I just realized last night...we never did a T-shirt for this year! No high res main cam and timing= no good pics in time I guess.

We'll have to do one anyway using watcher pics...can't break the streak!

Our falcon artists Lou and Dana have been very busy this year. Everyone is free to make their own T-shirts. It will be fun to see what everyone comes up with!  :clap:

No time at this point...don't know why I didn't think of it sooner!

We were talking about that on watch. We're waiting to see where the juvies are flying at the end of the week. Possible spots are the hole, the park, Falcon Watch Central, the Court St Bridge (but not Friday night because of Dinosaur traffic), maybe the gorge (we can only hope). There's no parking on the Broad St Bridge. It's a wait and see situation.

We were wondering how many were going to attend this falcon watcher weekend? Local folks and visitors.

We made it.  Any one going to be out tonight? I will be looking for posts to see where you are.

I'll probably do a quick check tonight and then head home and rest up for the weekend. 

We've decided that we'll meet for breakfast Saturday morning starting at 7:30 am. Of course  if you can't make it that early come when you can.

We'll meet on the Court St Bridge. Dan said there are picnic tables set up near the library.

Still not sure if we can make it

MAK reports that there is no parking on the Court St Bridge this weekend. So, breakfast will be moved to Aqueduct St aka the hole at 7:30 am. See you there!

I'll be in the hole at about 5:30. I know we've usually just been hitting Subway or He's Chinese Restaurant during evening watches, but we certainly do something different if people are up for it, since this is Watchers Weekend.

I'm not leaving for a few more minutes-I'll likely see everyone in the morning!
