The bird had chased away a riverside rival seconds before as it searched for the perfect fishing spot. It was then snapped up by the waiting 10ft alligator. Library worker Mike Rosenbaum, who captured the carnage in Boynton Beach, Florida, said: "It was enjoying its newly-won spot.
