Title: Macaulay Library Archive of Animal Sounds and Video
Post by: ezsha on 15-Apr-10, 03:36:02 PM
While looking for the Northern Flicker (http://macaulaylibrary.org/video/16374) from Lord G's latest Peregrinations (http://birdblog.marchlords.com/2010/04/archer-grabs-lunch-two-days-running.html) posting, I stumbled across the Macaulay Library (http://macaulaylibrary.org/index.do), at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (http://www.birds.cornell.edu/netcommunity/Page.aspx?pid=1478).

It has a search function by common name, scientific name, or catalog number, and you can search for audio and video of animals around the world.  For those of us who don't always know what prey we're looking at, I thought it might be helpful for identifying those mystery species afterwards. (However, one serious shortcoming, they don't have pictures of birds without their heads... :D )

Enjoy!
