Title: A post from Neil Grub on KFC
Post by: Donna on 11-Jun-10, 09:11:00 PM
Hi all,

It's a long time since I posted but thought I'd give an update on the peregrines
in the North Esk Valley, Scotland. It's an interesting site because between 2007
and 2008 the male peregrine changed, and in 2009 there was a new female. They
raised three young all of which fledged. This year has been a very good one,
with the same pair on territory and four extremely healthy looking youngsters on
the nest ledge. At five weeks they have barely shed their down feathers but
already one of them can almost lift off the ledge during practice wing flaps.

I've attached a short video link. Apologies for the added great spotted
woodpecker and chiffchaff (a kind of European warbler - you will understand why
it's so called when you listen!) and I hope you enjoy it. Best viewed in 720p or
1080p resolution.

Roslin Glen is a wonderful place to live!

Cheers,
