Title: Cat Suite: Pet Owners Build Outdoor Enclosures for Their Felines
Post by: Donna on 29-Jul-10, 06:24:35 AM
Cat owners often face a conundrum: Let their beloved felines roam free outdoors, where they might encounter dangers (and pose a threat to birds), or keep them inside, where they’re likely to spend a good chunk of the day perched on the windowsill looking outside. For a growing number of cat owners, the answer is building a “catio”, an enclosed outdoor space for Mr. Whiskers.

A Cat friend in California has made several of these: http://www.kittykouch.com/articles/catenclosure.html (http://www.kittykouch.com/articles/catenclosure.html)
Now several others are using them as well :eyecat:

A catio makes sense. After all, the Rochester peregrines have a 12th floor falcony.

I thought falcony was how it smells in the scrape when a few big eyases are spending all their time there. You know, that prey-fume aroma.
