Title: Janet's Pool
Post by: valhalla on 16-Aug-10, 10:08:45 AM
Well, the pool was delivered yesterday morning - Rich calls it Janet's boat - you decide :)

Had to remove some stumps for the power plant and the heater, too

I'm using Shutterfly because Kodak Classic isn't working, so do provide feedback, as I slapped this together quickly.  Thanks!

Just how BIG are the birds in your neck of the woods?????

That's a REALLY HUGE birdbath!!!!

Maybe for the Falcons in Rochester with the 7 foot wingspans that were spotted.  :2funny: a while back.

That's not a boat. It's a hole in the ground into which one pours water.

A boat is a hole in the water into which one pours money.

Boat = Break Out Another Thousand

This is a boat turned inside out!

when is the pool party?

about shutterfly on the good side I can actually see the pictures yeah (I have not been able to see anything but thumbnails on Kodak) so it beats kodak loads faster than Kodak too.

but compared to where Patti has her vacation pictures it comes in second.

Good Morning all!

Janet's Pool, AKA "My Blue Heaven" (named after our 1985 Century Mirada in the same color scheme) is in the ground and waiting for final inspections next week.  We did get 4 days in before the temps got cool and because the cover isn't done yet and I'm too cheap to turn on the heat pump and let that water steam off into the night, we will have her also winterized next week.

Landscaping needs to be done in the spring and Rich is adding a shed next to the power plant.  However, for now, here are the images for those of you that are interested:

Enjoy!

That is an awesome journey!  We have an above ground 24' pool and we LOVE IT!  Our soil here in Northern IN has way too much clay so it would have cost the price of another house to put one in the ground.  We got it 4 years ago and we still LOVE it!  You will love having the privacy and connivence of just using it when you want.  I hope you enjoy it as we have ours.

Is it fun taking the pictures to document when and how the improvements were done?  We have a photo album we call our home improvement book.  Fun to look back at where we started and how far we have come.

You will really look forward to next spring and summer!   :congrats:

Very nice pool and backyard retreat, Janet!  We put our 16' x 24' above ground pool in 21 years ago and have loved ours and know that you will too. The only bummer is having to close it for the winter and the long wait until the next summer.
