Is it possible to reverse the messages so that the latest one, in any given topic, is first as opposed to the other way around.  The way this is set up I have to go to the bottom of the messages to find the most current message.  I would much prefer to find the most current message on top and then I can go through the rest (if I chose to) to read other messages that I may have missed.

I know that one!  It's easy...go to profile-look and layout preferences-check "show most recent posts at top" and click change profile...that's all there is to it!

Contrary to Buffalo weather forcasts - it has not snowed here yet - we are getting lake effect rain and it is cold (low 40's) and rainy - but none of that white stuff yet.

 I had posted that the Buffalo weatherman said "near" Syracuse and it was a mix of snow and rain that was reported to be seen by people there-not the stickin' stuff.  Just going by what they said...

I was only there for about an hour or so.  Archer was in the same spot on OCS and I never did see B who was laying down on that level of the building.  :nap:

 The RTH were so beautiful!!!!!  I have never seen them in the gorge.  Probably because Mariah and Kaver were not fond of sharing their space with them!

Really too bad the transmitters are expensive and bureaucratic...would have been nice to fit Mariah while she was healing...
I am personally concerned that she was again attacked....
same territory, 2 against 1, and younger birds than she...

Personally, the last thing I would have wanted was a transmitter on Mariah.  As you said, she's an older bird and she was injured. 

We're all concerned that there will be another territorial battle, but that will hopefully not happen until next Spring, if at all.

Me too!  Dana joined me at the bottom of the hour and Dan Stiehler showed up just about 1PM.  Dana and I got to watch Mariah chase after a pigeon, though she wasn't successful.  Mostly she just sat at the apex of a glass pyramid at the center of the mall.  Lighting wasn't the greatest but here are a few pictures.

At first I didn't see Beauty on the top I beam of Old Changing Scenes.  She blended in so well, especially at that time of the day.  I watched her for about 20 minutes and then she flew to the corner near the elevator shaft.  If I didn't know where she was, I might not have seen her.  She was really tucked into the corner.  Beauty flew off and it looked like she was trying to get up into the elevator shaft, but the elevator was in the up position.  She flew around and tried again, then headed to the north side of OCS.  I couldn't find her after that.

I'm asking the same question. The last time I saw a peregrine falcon was on Sunday Nov. 8th.  I thought I sent a phone tweet, but I found it in my saved messages and never relayed my watch.  

After the watcher's get together, we waited for Mariah to show up.  No Luck.  Brian and I headed downtown around 4:00 pm.  We found Beauty on the Communication Tower.  Yea, a facon fix!  She flew from one side of the platform to the other, and then she disappeared.  She was on a girder beneath the platform and it was so hard to see her.  Her head bobbed up and down and she was eating.  This must be a cache location.  She flew off when the sun had set.

A little more details about the two sightings this morning.  At 9:50 am, I received a call from Kathy O.  She was driving down 104 (Keehler St Xpressway), heading east.  She saw a bunch of pigeons flying over the three tall apartment buildings on the north side of the expressway.  She pulled over and grabbed her binoculars.  There was a Peregrine flying behind the pigeons.  Kind of just floating up there.  She was very excited when she saw the split wing tip!  Yes!  She is 99% sure she was watching Mariah.

Mariah landed on the east most apartment on the railing at the top.  By the time Kathy drove around to get a better view, Mariah was gone.  Kathy was sooooooo excited and so was I.  What a wonderful way to start Thanksgiving day.

At 10:10 am, my phone rang again.  It was Larry O and he had Beauty on the Mercury Statue near the Times Square Bldg.  

So within 20 minutes, we had sightings of both Mariah and Beauty.  Woo Hoo!

Hey Carol - I just checked the tower from my view from the office and I can see the northeast corner of the tower.  I'll keep a better watch out for Beauty (?) since she's been hanging around the last few days.  :falcon:

Sue (Bess) and I watched with a lot of interest when the worker walked on the top most scaffolding on the Kodak Tower.  Beauty(?) was preening on the NE corner of the launchpad, when he came around the corner.  We watched (with amusement) as Beauty(?) hunkered down like a cat!   :eyecat:

She watched the oblivious man below her for all of a minute.  Then took off!  Humans!  I have no time for Humans!   :2funny:

Beauty(?) very slowly flew over us and then headed back downtown.  It was cold, but Sue(Bess) and I enjoyed our Watch.   :wave:

Beauty is more like a Jaguar!

I'm sure that Mariah is ok.  She was always scarce this time of year.  We always looked forward to our Winter visiting Peregrines.  Don't think Beauty will allow any into Rochester this year.  She is quite possessive of her nest site.
