Title: INDY Froona Update
Post by: valhalla on 11-Nov-10, 06:30:44 AM
Just got this from Gigi - Great News!   :2thumbsup:

"OBTW, one of Indy's chicks from 2009, IndyFroona, has been sighted at the Port Washington, Wisconsin nest.   They have requested information about her name.  Oh, what a story.    We are just so excited to hear that one of our chicks is doing so well.  And may she hatch many babies.  Laura sent me a link to the cam, but I can't get it to work.  I will keep you posted!"

For the Newbees here, Froona (from the Netherlands and very active in Pefa restoration/comeback there) died way too soon in 2009.  One of the Indy females was named to honor Froona's contributions, hence the name.  I'm glad that a little bit of Froona lives on.

This is awesome news.  Froona was a huge Mariah and Kaver fan.  She is definitely missed and I couldn't be more happy that little Froona has survived and may hopefully have children of her own someday.
