Title: Ireland's Newgrange and the Winter Solstice
Post by: Bobbie Ireland on 21-Dec-10, 09:08:51 AM
One of my favourite places in Ireland is Newgrange. And it is of particular importance at the Winter Solstice. Have a look at this piece from the BBC... and then hit the other links for more info. A magical place!

On other years, they have had video links, but I am not sure about today as there was heavy cloud cover... and thus no visible lunar eclipse either.

Those lucky enough to be in the tumulus at the Solstice are selected by a lottery... needless to say, I have never "got lucky"!
