Anne in Toronto Oh my gosh -- wrote that, looked up and a red-tailed hawk landed on the corner of my balcony -- about 8 feet away from "my" two 11 day old pigeon squabs!! Yikes!! Didn't know I could move that fast, this early in the morning!! Squiggles, the father, and I came roaring in on the poor thing at the same time! Squigs is such a brave father!! The r-t didn't stand a chance!!! The squabs are tucked out of sight, but still... No photo this time -- just a r-t driving away outburst! Coffee -- I need coffee!! After an 8 day delay, Beauty lays her second egg at 01:06:29 (http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/13870501/highlight/163739#utm_campaign=unknown&utm_source=163739&utm_medium=social) dale-you'll see right after she lays the egg she picks her tail up high. She did that with the first egg too. What is apparent on the still cams is when she relaxes and crouches down over the egg. I think when we watched Mariah, she would crouch lower almost immediately.
