Title: Labor Day on Ocracoke Island Post by: Paul Hamilton on 03-Oct-09, 01:57:38 PM We made our usual trip to Ocracoke Inland, NC to say goodbye to summer. It's a good bet for this, as the climate is semitropical. This time, there were lots of juvenile gulls to puzzle over (can anyone ID these guys?), but the best part was the big, full moon rising over the dunes as the sun set. After we got home, there was one final summer surprise on the way.
