I had them when I lived in Hamlin. 2 feeders hanging right outside the sliding glass door in the kitchen. Sat at the table for hours watching them perch on the pole that the feeders hung on and wait to dive bomb each other. :birdhum:

I have up 3 feeders and am filling (well only fill 1/2 so the solution stays fresh) them every couple of days. If we are out on the deck at the patio table, they fly between us and the umbrella pole! Makes you duck!! :2funny: LOVE watching them and have encouraged many neighbors on doing the same. Wish I could attract them in Southwest Florida in the winter but no luck in our first winter there. Hints anyone??

BTW, I also have the upside-down niger feeder...keeps the daggone House Sparrows away. |
