Title: Good deed for the day
Post by: Dumpsterkitty on 16-Aug-11, 07:42:29 PM

As I was leaving work I saw this little fellow hopping across the road.  Except, being smaller than the palm of my hand, he wasn't getting very far.  Busy road with clueless people.  Another employee was nearby, so while I scooped the little fellow up she looked around for any signs of Mom...nothing that we could see.  So we decided on the side of the road he seemed to be coming from-more room to roam over there.

Not much more I could do...at least he was safe from the cars.  Just hope Mom finds him!

I don't like this time of year! Love baby animals but so many get lost or worse! Thanks Ei, you paid it forward!

Good for you, Ei!  It is a hard time of year.  I had two baby birds in my dogs' kennel -- both were dead, very few feathers and eyes closed.  I buried both.  And I had another baby bird hiding near one of my flower pots.  It was new to flying so it was fluttering near my feeders.  I sure hope it made it.  There are wandering feral cats near my house:( My neighbors feed them so they keep reproducing

I wish we could put a force field around all the babies-they have no idea what dangers are out there...just glad I could help this one.

Good job Ei!  You were definitely in the right place at the right time for that tiny creature.
