Title: Re: Eurasian Kingfisher photos Post by: Bobbie Ireland on 26-Aug-11, 05:42:40 AM How this person got the pix is beyond me, as these fellows seldom stay put and go by like a flash of blue lightning. I love them! You hear this little "whirrrr" sound coming along and the next thing, it has shot past you. And maybe this is why I love the Belted Kingfisher so much - always try to find one when I am home.
:birdhum: :birdhum: :birdhum: :birdhum: (I think this is a kingfisher pic...) Title: Re: Eurasian Kingfisher photos Post by: Donna on 26-Aug-11, 06:41:58 AM Very nice Bobbie and some are banded too. Wow, that one had a pretty big fish in his mouth.

Isn't it amazing how they flip the fish around so it goes down head-first? Title: Re: Eurasian Kingfisher photos Post by: Donna on 26-Aug-11, 07:02:51 AM Very nice Bobbie and some are banded too.
