2 right next to each other. 1 on TS building and 1 on the Powers building right across from it! There's a 3rd but it's not in the DT area.

There is a nest box on the roof of the Hawkeye plant.

Have watchers, like MAK and others, ever seen activity near this nestbox?

Nobody really checks there since when it first was put up no falcons took an interest in it.  ;D

I thought a watcher took a couple pics of Beauty at the Hawkeye box last fall?

Found it! The pics of Beauty at that site are posted on the 12/3/11 watch report by MAK.

Yes she was near the NB but her scrape is at TS and I'm sure she was just hanging out there. Although when she is released we may want to check there from time to time just in case things don't work out at TS. There are so many scenarios to think about with Archers return and most likely Beauty coming back to her territory. Oy brain on overload!!!

Any word on Archer yet?  This whole new scenario of Beauty in rehab, no Archer, Unity claiming nest box, and new Mr has me spinning too.  But I guess that is the natural world at work.

Archer usually goes straight for the nest box. Well, that's where he was last year. I remember one year Larry O was watching out at Kodak and spotted Kaver's arrival. It was on my Bday!!  Some things I don't forget!  ;) or do I?  :D

There is actually a 4th nest box on top of a school on the east side of the river, north of Kodak.  No falcon activity ever seen there.

There used to be a 5th and a 6th at Kodak Park, but they were taken down when Kodak was destroying those buildings.

Beauty was seen at the Hawkeye nest box this past fall when Joyce and MAK were checking out things.  As far as I know, the only other falcon activity at that box was by a family of Kestrels that Kathy O, Larry O and I spotted one year.  Two adults and two fledglings.  They were having a blast.  I've seen Red-tail Hawks and Crows sitting up there.

Most of the Watchers will make periodic checks on the other nest boxes when they get a chance.  Just in case.

The Times Square and Powers Bldg nest boxes are way too close to ever both be occupied.  Both were put there to give the falcons a choice after we had to move the nest box from Kodak Office.  Times Square is definitely the better choice.  An unobstructed view of the river and the hunting is great.  Lots of Pigeons and other prey in the area.

As of the last time I looked, there has been no Archer sightings.  Last year when he came in, a new male, Mr T was seen on camera that morning and by the afternoon, it was Archer in the nest box.  No Watchers witnessed any battles, so we hoped that Mr T just high-tailed it out of Dodge.

Kaver on the other hand was pretty much like clockwork.  One Valentines Day he came in and he and his sweetie Mariah were seen tearing up the airwaves around the Kodak Tower and doing other things.  Hahaha!

@Penelope - You are welcome anytime!  We would love to have you join us!

@Grotto - Change is what it's all about in the Peregrine world.  As much as we'd love to see things stay the same, with our favorite falcons, it never does.  I will embrace Unity and watch over her and her young IF she is to remain here.  I hope nothing but the best for Beauty and want nothing more than to see her healthy and released, but I so dread a territorial battle.  Even between Archer, if he returns, and the new Tiercel.  I've gotten more than a few gray hairs watching these beautiful birds.

Any more questions anyone?
