Title: Earth Hour and egg laying
Post by: Shaky on 05-Mar-12, 10:03:58 AM
Earth Hour will take place at 8:30 PM on March 31 this year. Many people will observe Earth Hour by turning off their lights and other electrical devices.

WWF - Earth Hour 2012 - March 31, 2012 8:30pm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGpPmMxuWmo#ws)

Last year Rfalconcam turned off its cameras for one hour. However, Earth Hour was on March 26, five days earlier than this year's observance and well before we expected our resident falcon to lay an egg. There was little chance of missing the "event" while the cameras were off.

The same cannot be said about this year with Earth Hour falling on March 31. This is much closer to the time when an egg might be laid.

So here's a question for all of you. If it looks like an egg might be laid during Earth Hour, do we leave the cameras on, or do we shut them off?

Just wondering which question we should answer with yes or no?  Cameras on -yes or no. Cameras off-yes or no?
