Title: Iroquois NWR trip today. Post by: Kris G. on 28-May-12, 07:48:56 PM Bill and I went for a ride over to Iroquois NWR today to see the Osprey. We did get to see the Eagles at Cayuga Overlook but it was difficult to take a pic with all the leaves on the trees now. Here's a few pictures of what we saw:

No worries with the Canadian goose population! ;D

We parked about 50 ft. from the pole to see if anything was in the nest and not seeing any Osprey, we were just ready to pull out when I saw this large bird heading our way. The adult landed on the edge of the box but flew to a tree while Bill tried to get a picture and that's when the other Osprey popped its head up. Having never seen an Osprey this close, it was a good day!
