Title: Tallman Building (KeyBank at 25 East Main St) Flooded Post by: patsy6 on 31-Jan-13, 11:21:12 AM The building that houses KeyBank (at "the hole," as the watchers refer to it) on Main Street at the corner of Aqueduct Street, across from OCSR, was flooded early today by a broken sprinkler pipe on the third floor. Looks like it caused quite a mess, which is a shame, because it's an historic building. It's where Frederick Douglass published his abolitionist newspapers in the 1840s and 1850s. Now it houses attorney offices, an abstract firm and KeyBank. I hope the damage wasn't too extensive.

What a mess! The building is closed but I peeked in. There is condensation all over the inside of the first floor windows, right up to the top. A mold remediation crew is there now, and their pumps are running furiously. Perhaps that's why B keeps flying on and off of OCSR today...interested in what's going on, but wary as well.
