This time it was lake effect snow which is when cold air moves over the lake and sucks moisture from it to form snow bands that move according to the wind. It can be sunny everywhere else but where these lake snow bands are set up. :blustery: And they can drop a ton of snow in a short amount of time when they just sit in one spot. :snowing: We're due for some more tomorrow night as a cold front approaches from the north.
