When I awoke this morning the temperature was 14 degrees fahrenheit (-10 celcius) and there was 4-5 inches of snow on the ground. It snowed for my entire watch quite moderately at times.- After snow removal duties I headed downtown for my morning watch at 6:20am.
Beauty was a little stinker this...

 :wave:  Yes Lola we get lots of snow here in western New York. This time it was lake effect snow which is when cold air moves over the lake and sucks moisture from it to form snow bands that move according to the wind. It can be sunny everywhere else but where these lake snow bands are set up. :blustery:   And they can drop a ton of snow in a short amount of time when they just sit in one spot.  :snowing:  We're due for some more tomorrow night as a cold front approaches from the north. And this concludes todays Rochester weather lesson! lol   :natale3:
