The Wildlife Center of Virginia says the peregrine is likely a southbound migrant from New England, Canada or Greenland. The bird was thin, its right eye was injured and its left wing was missing some feathers when it was found near Quinby in Accomack County in mid-November. The peregrine will be released at 1 p.m. Tuesday. ___ Wildlife Center of Virginia: http://www.wildlifecenter.org Title: Re: Va. wildlife center to release peregrine falcon Post by: Donna on 23-Dec-09, 08:48:07 PM Pictures: Peregrine falcon release in Hampton http://www.dailypress.com/news/hampton/dp-falcon-release-1222-photos,0,2778125.photogallery (http://www.dailypress.com/news/hampton/dp-falcon-release-1222-photos,0,2778125.photogallery) :falcon: |
