Last year, Good Friday was April 5 or 6. That's when we lost Unity, and Beauty returned from rehab. And Mariah and Beauty's battle was on an Easter Sunday too. I wonder what date that was? I wonder if hormones of these birds reach a sudden peak during that first week in April? Birds are so cyclical. I could count on the date that certain birds would return to my yard every spring and just stay for a week or so and move on. I wonder if that is how it is with these falcons. Scary day. |
