Watch a Peregrine falcon parent  on a nest more than 120 feet above the Jones Island sewage treatment plant on the Milwaukee harbor, courtesy of live streaming video provided by Veolia Water Milwaukee LLC.

Check back in 10 days or so for the expected hatching of four falcon eggs in the nest between May 4 and 6, said Joyce Harms, a spokesman for Veolia Water Milwaukee. The nest is in a box on the southwest corner of the Milorganite fertilizer factory's roof.

The first egg was laid March 30 and a fourth egg was observed April 6.

Veolia Water Milwaukee operates the Jones Island sewage treatment plant and Milorganite factory under contract with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.

The Milorganite factory and adjacent fertilizer storage silos are the tallest buildings on Jones Island. The buildings are located west of the Hoan Bridge.

We Energies maintains 3 falcon nest cameras in the Milwaukee area, one each at its Oak Creek, Menomonee Valley and County Grounds power plants, according to Greg Septon, a representative of the Midwest Peregrine Society.

Thank you, Donna! I was watching this cam, and had just finished looking for info about it. A little more:

In the fall of 2011, workers from Veolia Water Milwaukee built a nesting box and installed it on the roof of the Milorganite building at the Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility.  The box – which includes a hinged door to facilitate banding of the birds - attracted a nesting pair of Peregrines in spring of 2012.  Three young peregrines hatched, grew, and learned to fly from their perches 150 feet above ground.  In 2013, a pair once again made their nest in the box.
