Title: Peregrine Falon Cam from Snoqualmie Falls Post by: Donna on 02-May-13, 10:23:02 PM http://pse.com/aboutpse/ToursandRecreation/Pages/Snoqualmie-Falls-Peregrine-Nest.aspx (http://pse.com/aboutpse/ToursandRecreation/Pages/Snoqualmie-Falls-Peregrine-Nest.aspx)
This live video feed shows nesting Peregrine Falcons at Snoqualmie Falls. The nest, or "scrape" is on the misty cliff face just downstream of the falls. The adult peregrines laid 4 eggs in early April, which have now hatched. We can watch the adults feeding the chicks, or "eyasses." The chicks grow fast, and will likely "fledge" or leave the nest by mid-June. The fledglings will be with their parents for many weeks in the Snoqualmie Falls area, learning to hunt on their own (with a little help from Mom and Dad). It's dark now but I'll bet it's nice when it's light out. Puget Sound |
