This is really special. All this season, #3 has been positioning below the wing, where it is tiring to fly, leading to birds following him and dropping out. On the last flight, which was days ago, only two flew all the way, the remaining six arriving in crates. This time, they are riding the tip vortices from the trike and each other. They have suddenly turned into a real migrating flock of birds!

Was just reading the 8 were all abandoned eggs! :( Oh well, they look mighty fine now!

They are approaching their last stop before their destination, the St Marks Wildlife Refuge in Florida.
Unfortunately, the cell phone service is not sufficient for inflight video.

I've been faithfully following their migration this year on FB..so happy to read this AM that they made it to their final destination!
