Wow, was wondering where she ended up! Surprised she didn't go back to UB!! Maybe she did and got the boot!  Good news, glad she is safe and has a mate! Thanks

Hi guys! It took me a couple days to get back on here. It kept telling me there was no such username as ~Sage~.

So Buffalo has EGG #1 from Dixie and Yankee at UB! We may have other eggs in the Buffalo area, but with no cams, who knows?

Dix & Yankee at it again! (https://scontent-1.2914.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/t1.0-9/1969230_783806561630278_537953395_n.jpg)

Here is our newest nest box located in Dunkirk, already claimed by a female. A male has also been seen there so we are hoping for a successful nesting! Nest can be seen from Dunkirk Harbor where it's best to have a scope or long lens, and also closer spots which give more of a side view.

The Dunkirk female can be seen perched to the right of the box. Turkey Vultures also seem to love that stack. Anxious to see how that will play out.

CORRECTION: Someone UNKNOWN to us at Peregrine Place and UNKNOWN to our local Peregrine watchers posted an erroneously under "by others" yesterday. There are just TWO EGGS at the STATLER, not three, yesterday, as he, TK said.
Also of importance: Mr Lewadowski is kindly letting the DEC check the Central Terminal box tomorrow! Thank You!

Buffalo Update (per DEC):

Three Buffalo sites had 4 eggs each this year...UB (Mackay Tower), Central Terminal (Rochester's Diamante is the dad), and Statler (downtown).

Mackay Tower at UB (online) has 4 cute eyases. http://www.buffalo.edu/falconcam.html (http://www.buffalo.edu/falconcam.html) (Pic attached from this afternoon)

Hatch at Statler. (Photo attached from Peregrine Place) Can't tell if it one or two eyases?

Don't know the status of hatches at Central Terminal.

There has also been a sighting of a banded female frequenting the South Grand Island Bridge.

I thought that Statler City had 5 eggs this year? Looks like in pic with 2 eyases.

Looks like it to me too. I was told last Sunday there were 4 everywhere and no one had 5. Maybe DEC wasn't updated.

Posted by Peregrine Place:

(Joyce) I just became aware that Ella from UB was injured. As noted, her wing web was pierced. Bone not broken. Unfortunately she will not fly again. She might have had a chance if the veterinarian had gotten her a couple of days sooner.
It was not mentioned where she was found and no other details are known. It does not sound like she would be euthanised. Also it is not know what USFWS and DEC will do with her. She might make good educational bird because she is so young.

:( How awful! Could have been fixed if caught sooner. Poor Ella.

Cross reference NOTE - Now that BILLIE (2013) from Central Terminal is in Rochester, Connie (DEC) advised to refer to her as BILLIE with an IE. Even though original person named after was Billy, this would be less confusing for female peregrine.

Yankee and Dixie were both at the nest last night. Yankee did not come any farther into view, and left after a few minutes.
