Title: Choose a name for the unbanded tiercel at Seneca Towers
Post by: Shaky on 16-May-14, 11:05:13 PM
The unbanded tiercel will be given the name that receives the most votes.  In case of a tie, the number of times each name was submitted will be used as a tie breaker. If that is a tie too, one of the names will be chosen at random.

Descriptions:

Aquilo was the Roman God of the North Wind.

Ardito is the Italian word for courage/venture.  Falcons are the most courageous of birds.  They fight for their territory not only against each other, but against other intruders.

Horus was a god of ancient Egypt and was the god of hunting, sky, protection, war.

Marlon is derived from the old French meaning "wild falcon."

Seth is in honor of Seth Green, the namesake for the road that Seneca Towers in located on, and the nearby park. Seth was a well known fisherman in the Rochester area and instrumental in the fish hatching industry.

Veteran is in honor of our veterans.  It's also for the name of the bridge that is located in this unbanded tiercel's territory.
