Title: Main Cam is frozen *RESOLVED*
Post by: Shaky on 25-May-21, 03:53:56 PM
Main Camera quit working at 15:22. Unfortunately, all attempts to restart it remotely have failed, and I won't be able to access its power supply before the building closes for the day. I will go downtown tomorrow morning to attempt to restart it. In the meantime, enjoy the HD video from Cameras 1 and 2.

No luck restarting it. Maybe it will fix itself again.

Hopefully just overheated.

Main Cam started working again.

It really shouldn't overheat in these conditions. It's a security camera that's meant to work adjacent to asphalt parking lots in places like Texas and Arizona.

But it has always been a bit finicky, so maybe it did overheat.

Who knows. Maybe it was the control computer overheating. We had that happen once upon a time. Just glad it's back!

I went there at 2 PM and checked that. It was 71F, matching the remote thermometer I monitor from home. Then I unplugged Main Cam and plugged it in again several times to no avail.

I guess that wasn't it then. Mystery but glad it's working again

Yep, just like yesterday. I think it's due to overheating. It will come back on its own this evening.

It started working again at 18:34 after it had a chance to cool down.
