Title: Grab the closest book...
Post by: Dumpsterkitty on 07-Aug-11, 06:21:21 PM
Found this on Bits and Pieces (http://bitsandpieces.us/)...

Grab the closest book…

Tim J. posted this on his Facebook page.  I thought it was cute and modified it for B&P.  From what I’ve discovered there really is no National Book Week.  The National Children’s Book Week is the week before Thanksgiving.  Other than that I could find no one week that was consistently referred to as National Book Week.  Regardless…

It’s National Book Week. Rules: Grab the closest book to you. Go to page 56. Post the 5th sentence in a comment. Don’t mention the book.

My answer: “Some infections can lie dormant for years after initial exposure.”

And my answer: Male, summer: Dark with white flanks and belly.

My answer: Winters along the coast and on lakes and rivers.

Without a word he flung his heavy casting spoon again, 60 yards past the surf into deep water.

In fact, the iim7, V7 progression ("two-five," as it's commonly known) - sometimes followed by the tonic chord ("two-five-one") - is probably the most important progression in jazz.

The Python code itself may be entered into a text file, stored in a database, fetched from an HTML page, parsed from an XML document, and so on.
