Title: Day 6 in paradise for MAK 7-5-12
Post by: MAK on 05-Jul-12, 08:43:44 PM
Day 6 in paradise featured a Red Squirrel that visited the bird feeder. The 3 chipmunks were very busy collecting and eating the sunflower seeds. I saw a Cardinal at the feeder for the 1st time as well but something scared it off. This is a beautiful place to retreat to and get your thoughts together. Haven't seen a human since Sunday! :)

Great pictures MAK.  I really like the setup.
It seems very peaceful.  Glad you get to stay there and
critter-sit.

I know what it is-I just can't bring the name to mind right now...

Ok Ei, I'll just wait for you to remember. Meanwhile, does anyone else have any guesses?  :gum:

My answer is Eastern Kingbird. Also saw American Goldfinch in the bunch.

I was heading for some sort of Flycatcher... The bill is obviously diagnostic but...

Thanks Big Frank I believe you are correct with your answer of Eastern Kingbird. Next time I'll remember to pack my bird book!  :stupid:
