Jim P said that Archer came in closer than Kaver used to with banding.  Both A/B were equal distance.  Wow, she is still kakking!

They sounded so quiet in the nestbox before this, didn't they????  They were very loud in here!!!  But very cute!!!!!

We hear a lot of kakking -- probably mama!  I will find out band numbers.

The rfalconcam merchandise committee named Jemison and our super kindergartners from Marion Central School named Callidora.  This class is very special!  They have been writing journals and keeping up with the camera.  Kudos to Mrs. Graffeo and these wonderful kindergartners!

Callidora is a Greek name composed of the elements Kallos, meaning beauty and Doron meaning gift.  

First girl-- Jemison-- named after Mary Jemison-- "the White Woman of the Genesee."  Kidnapped in Pennsylvania by the Shawnee and French in 1755 at an early age and was given to the Seneca.  Later married to a Delaware brave.  She traveled with her baby son, on foot, more than 700 miles to the Genesee river valley.  She lived with the Seneca for the rest of her life, gaining respect as as advocate of her adopted nation!

Meet our 2nd girl!!   Callidora (means gift of beauty!  Named by the kindergarten class at Marion Central School!!!
