This has been one weird year for birds! Evidently Chewy has had a sex change operation

I was there for about a half hour tonight and saw nothing peregrine wise.  One finch and three butterflies!

Oh our precious little girl, I am so sorry we lost you . Fly free with your brother and all the other little ones named, known and loved as well as those we don't know but who are loved nontheless.  May you have little ones to play talon tag with and know that you will always be remembered and  loved.

As Carly said, at least Kate didn't die alone.  I'm glad for that.  I think this little gal was just not healthy and perhaps this was why she just took so long to fly to begin with.   

I noticed my dog, Bentley, sniffing something in the kennel this morning.  It was a baby bird, perfectly formed, almost in a fetal position, dead.  Bentley was not the cause.  This little one had just the start of some feathers and its eyes were not open.  I think he dropped out of the nest in my eaves above.  Poor baby

Just awesome, Carol!!!!  I love when they frolic and play!!  It's a precious moment in time when they can all be together!!!
