Any news on S2? Can't even find info on BCAW!!
I look from time to time but I don't think there has been any sightings since the video showing her looking at the eggs when New Girl came into the box and S2 flew off. Pa still seems attached to the eggs and does incubate them at times so that's why people there haven't removed them. Sad. NO, I mean S2 not OR2. S2 is still in rehab right? Whoops, too many 2 's-these birds need names! Lol. I think I read she's with a Falconer and will be released in the fall. Thanks kris, can't find her thread on BCAW!

We lost a lot of info here. Update:
And in Columbus.... The past several days have seen frequent ledge and nestbox visits by both the male and female. Many times Spark and Durand have been observed making a scrape in the gravel. This behavior is one way the falcons bond to the site to claim it as their territory as well as bond with each other. It doesn't necessarily mean that they may attempt to nest yet this year, it simply is a way for them to reinforce their intent that this is their chosen site. Of course it is always possible we could see another clutch of eggs this season but not probable.

Posted on BCAW Just got home. What an exciting morning! I woke up at 5:30 and immediately tuned in the cam on the Kindle Fire. Both boys were on the ledge, then the internet connection went away and I had to reload. When I got back on, Lil Dad was on the ledge, downscreen from the stick, and both boys were jammed side by side facing him. It looked like he was giving them food. I thought, "good, they're both still home" and turned it off and laid back down. Only a minute or two later, the phone rang. When I saw it was Reenie, I knew what it was going to be. I had my pants half on before she was finished saying "There's a baby on the sidewalk!" Less than two minutes later, I was backing the car out of the parking space and on my way. When I got there, Reenie and a man were standing at the corner of Market and Aberdeen. I got my cat carrier out of the trunk and walked to the corner, where I could see Red crouched against the Carson Building wall. Once we got him netted, I picked him up, took a good look at his head, eyes and mouth, took a deep sniff of his breath and checked his legs. He is fully alert and seems in perfect health. But since at that point we thought we heard Blue screaming from the top of the Fifth Street Garage, I just put him in the crate without checking the wings. I had called Ann from the Ed Center while I was on my way downtown, and she said keep him in the Ed Center til she got there, so we put Red in the office and went to the Garage to look for Blue. Turned out he was still on the ledge - his voice must have been echoing off the garage walls. So we went back inside to wait for Ann. In the meantime Jane arrived and we all waited together. I expect it will possibly be several hours before he is released, so don't be worried if the day is passing and you don't see him back yet. He is fine and oh, so beautiful! What a cutie Red is. Glad he's OK.

Was emailing back and forth with Ann Brokelman last night and she was at Harlequin yesterday for 1/2 the day and did not see Kendal at all during her time there. Did anyone see him on cam at all? Usually he's close by and bringing food but she didn't see this. She asked a few at Harlequin and no one saw him. Not going to worry yet.

3rd egg produced May 23, 2012 - Port Colborne - ADM Mill Doug Garbutt Reports:
Yesterday upon arriving at work, I noticed a 3rd egg. The falcons are now in full incubation mode. This is not an easy go for our resident male as yesterday in the early morning there was quite a spectacular aerial combat display. An intruding male tried to take over the nest box. I don’t know for sure who was the victor but we’re hoping it was Buffalo Bill. We’ll try to confirm. The important thing is that Trillium is still incubating the 3 eggs. If it works out, they should hatch around the 21st of June.
Oh come on, no more fighting! Hope all is well there.
