http://www.thedailyyorktown.com/neighbors/nature-watch-how-pete-nye-saved-our-bald-eagles

If you drive to the right spots over the next four weeks, you might see 40 or 50 bald eagles soaring above your head. They winter in our area, thanks to the efforts of one man – Pete Nye, formerly of New York State’s Department of Conservation. When he started his work, only one pair of eagles nested in the state. Now, it’s up to 220.
Bald eagles fly south to fish in the open waters of the Hudson River when their rivers and lakes further north freeze over. Some can also be found along the Housatonic River in Connecticut.

Update on MAK via Joyce:

"Between the time her brother left and I arrived, she had an episode of heart racing and dizziness. She was up at the time. Since then she had to lay down, ate and is in her recliner. MAK'S BP is low and heart rate is up. 2nd reading is slightly better. Staying for a while to keep her company and check her vitals. She's in some pain and very tired."

On ph with her now, she sounds good and Joyce is still with her. 9:20 pm  114/57 right now....oh boy!!

Earlier her BP was 98/47  Shocked

Thanks Kat, Quest being around is a good thing, probably protecting her nest. Kendal on the other hand, well, he's on a little Holiday, I hope. As long as he comes back soon, I'm good with that!  pray

From 8 February, I will not be online a few weeks because I go to the hospital.
Since the end of July last year I have pain in my right hip. On 9 February I will operate.

Good luck Annette, we'll be here waiting for you! Hope all goes well.
